JULY LUNCH >>>Afloat!

July  Lunch on the barge at the Mill Hotel in Chester, on Tuesday, 27th July 2010. 

18 members attended and the sea conditions were fair and the sun came out for homeward leg. Bob Powell's wife Eunice had broken her arm the week before but even with a sling she took her turn rowing. Just 17 with Ken behind the camera!!!!

 

The Autumn Break 2009

1st /6th November The Autumn Break 2009 all were welcome at the Windermere Hydro. www.windermerehydro.co.uk The Editor writes:-

21 in all made it from Liverpool / Norwich/Derby/ Nottingham . A few photos below from quiz night and part of the BOND report below adds.......

 

 "Yet again Liverpool hosted a quality “Bargain” break with dinner now 4 courses! Early evening entertainment was as usual hosted in Pat Currie’s Suite with the whole party of 21 enjoying pre-dinner drinks and nibbles. After dinner entertainments featured Bryan Kayleys’s Quiz and a stunning slide show of the Lake District from a local photographer. Fitting in with the weather Rob Powell conjured up his inevitably stimulating walks, while Non-walkers enjoyed the local bus services and Windermere cruises, one of which was enhanced by a party of 20 or so Japanese ladies, who insisted on photographs with myself and Roy Thornhill of Nottingham (See page 1). Thank you Liverpool I look forward to next year.”
